Seven Peaks School
Founded in 1996, Seven Peaks School, located at 19660 Mountaineer Way , is a private school where Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade students reach higher levels of academic proficiency and social awareness. In a dynamic and supportive environment, the school delivers exceptional learning experiences based on the schools Seven Pinnacles of Educational Excellence nurtured by small classes and a superior faculty. Cascade Middle School
Located at 19619 Mountaineer Way, Cascade Middle School opened in 1978 and teaches students 6th through 8th grades. Enrollment in 2013 totals 865 students under Principal Stephanie Bennett. Contact: 541-355-7000.
Oregon State University-Cascades
In September 2013 the Oregon State Board of Higher Education approved the purchase of two parcels of land totaling 56.44 acres for $12.8 million to build a 4-year University. The 2 parcels border Mt. Washington Drive to the west, Chandler Avenue to the south, Century Drive to the east and follow a general east to west line along the southern border of the commercial properties on Century Drive and west along the southern boundary property line of BPRD and the Deschutes County Demolition Site. One parcel, 10.4 acres, located at 1500 SW Chandler is where the University broke ground in 2015 and expects to be ready for 1,800 students for the fall 2016 growing to 5,000 students by 2025.
