Your Neighborhood Association (NA) is one of 13 NAs established by the Bend City Council to fill 2 vital roles:

1) Serve as primary communications channel between the City and our residents.
2) Accurately represent our residents' views to the City.

The Board's role is to facilitate discussion, debate and action on the issues you raise. But we need our members to tell us what issues matter to them. All these thoughts lead in the same direction. Register today!
The Registration process is short, membership is free, and once you've registered, your level of involvement and contact is entirely up to you.

For those of you that want to be further involved, we strongly encourage members to work on any of the issues that they consider important. We can use your help. Your involvement provides you with the opportunity to directly contribute to the outcome for the issues that most concern you. It also provides additional transparency to how the CWNA operates - something your Board strongly supports.

Neighborhood Association (NA) vs. Home Owners Association (HOA)

NAs serve a very different role than that of Homeowners Associations (HOAs).
In fact, within our boundaries there are over 20 HOAs, and roughly 4,000 residents for around 2100 tax lots.

ONCE YOU REGISTER AS A MEMBER

We can reach you with timely information from the City on issues while there is still time to make your voice count. You will have access to several ways of expressing your views on existing issues and a way to bring new issues up for consideration.

What does a NA discuss?

NAs participate actively in the issues that affect your quality of life such as:
  • Speeding in our Neighborhood
  • Street Preservation & New Road Construction
  • Public Safety Concerns
  • Land Use
  • Noise
  • Dark Skies initiatives
  • Other important matters advanced by residents (you!)
NAs are the channel that the City officially recognizes for these and other issues. CWNA provides our residents a voice in these decisions, particularly by sharing information among people actively participating in our city government.
